Tax Team Leader – Tax Specialist

About the role

The Tax Team Leader will direct daily tax compliance activities, coordinate with external consultants, and oversee VAT claims, tax audits, and regulatory reporting. You will also support internal controls and key tax initiatives such as e‑invoicing and transfer‑pricing documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with external tax consultants to prepare, review, and file tax returns on time.
• Ensure compliance with income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain tax‑related accounts, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Manage municipal tax obligations for head office and branch locations.
• Support SEC‑audited financial statements, General Information Sheet, and other regulatory filings.
• Handle VAT claims, refund applications, and coordinate BIR tax audits.
• Provide tax guidance on transactions, contracts, and operations.
• Monitor updates in Philippine tax laws and collaborate with Finance, Operations, Credit & Collection, and Shared Services.
• Guide Treasury Officer, support treasury controls, bank reconciliations, and cash handling.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in tax compliance, accounting, or finance.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws (VAT, withholding taxes, corporate income tax).
• Experience coordinating tax audits and working with the BIR and external consultants.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
