Financial Modeler (PE, Credit, Debt) – Philippines

About the role

We are partnering with a U.S.-based technology company developing AI systems for financial modeling and decision‑making. As a Financial Modeler you will build detailed private‑equity, credit and debt models from scratch in Excel and explain the underlying logic.

Key responsibilities

• Build full PE, credit and debt models from a blank spreadsheet, including transaction structures, multi‑tranche debt schedules and returns analysis.
• Link operating performance to cash‑flow, debt service and investment returns, and create downside, stress and exit scenarios.
• Review, debug and improve models built by others, identifying incorrect assumptions and risks.
• Clearly communicate model logic and decision‑making to stakeholders.

Required profile

• 2–10 years of finance experience with heavy hands‑on modeling.
• Buy‑side experience at a private‑equity fund or in leveraged finance, private credit or direct lending.
• Proven track record of building full LBO, credit and debt models that drove real investment or lending decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to explain complex financial logic in English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modeling (no templates, building from scratch).
• Financial modeling for private equity, credit and leveraged finance.
• Construction of multi‑tranche debt schedules, covenant modeling and cash‑flow based underwriting.
