Plant Finance Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The Plant Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial performance of a food manufacturing site. Working closely with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain and Commercial teams, you will drive profitability, control costs and provide strategic financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the plant P&L, monthly close, reporting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Lead annual budgeting and monthly financial forecasting processes.
• Oversee standard costing, BOM/recipe costing and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Monitor raw material, packaging, labor, overhead, yield, waste and production variances.
• Analyze product/SKU profitability and support pricing and margin decisions.
• Partner with Procurement to manage ingredient, commodity and packaging costs.
• Control inventory, obsolete/expired stock and working capital.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Evaluate CAPEX proposals, ROI, budgets and investment performance.
• Maintain strong internal controls and support internal/external audits.
• Act as finance business partner to the Plant Manager and Operations leadership.
• Lead and develop the plant finance/accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• 7–12 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in food manufacturing, FMCG, beverage or process manufacturing.
• Proven experience in plant finance, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting and product costing.
• Strong analytical, communication and business‑partnering abilities.
