Sales Compensation Operations Specialist

About the role

Brightwheel is looking for a Sales Compensation Operations Specialist to manage the daily queue of compensation questions, ensure data integrity, and support the sales team with accurate payout information. You will work remotely with a distributed team, using AI tools to streamline processes and resolve issues end‑to‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the compensation question queue, diagnosing missing deals, target corrections, and revenue discrepancies, and route complex cases to Systems, Analytics, or Accounting.
• Run monthly turnover for sales compensation trackers, building rosters, loading targets, multipliers, and accelerator thresholds, and performing QA on formulas and roll‑ups.
• Monitor daily data‑health alerts, investigate warnings, and verify fixes after each refresh.
• Investigate Salesforce data issues affecting compensation credit, using AI and SQL to identify and resolve problems.
• Apply mid‑month roster changes (exits, transfers, promotions, leave) according to documented policies and double‑check each adjustment.
• Maintain self‑serve tools for reps, including payout calculators and deal‑status lookup chatbots, and flag AI inaccuracies for improvement.

Required profile

• 2+ years in a recurring, accuracy‑critical operations role such as commissions, payroll, billing, finance, or revenue operations.
• Experience managing a high‑volume request queue or ticket intake with internal customers and defined response times.
• Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot) daily for analysis, formulas, lookups, and drafting.
• Proven ability to work hands‑on with large, formula‑heavy spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel) and debug existing models.
• Experience reconciling data between a CRM (Salesforce, NetSuite, HubSpot) and downstream reports.
• Effective remote communication skills, especially across time zones.
