AR Coordinator I

About the role

The AR Coordinator I supports the accounts receivable team by researching, analyzing, and resolving customer deductions to ensure timely recovery or appropriate clearing of outstanding amounts.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze customer deductions received via portals, email, or remittance advice.
• Validate deduction claims against sales data, contracts, promotions, shipping records, and return documentation.
• Classify deductions, assign credit reason codes, and determine credit or denial based on policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer care, logistics) to investigate and resolve disputes.
• Communicate with customers for supporting documentation and provide resolution updates.
• Enter and maintain deduction data in the ERP or deductions management system.
• Recommend write‑offs or credit adjustments with proper documentation and obtain approvals as needed.
• Support month‑end close processes and assist with reporting on deduction trends.

Required profile

• 4‑year college degree in finance, business management, or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or related administrative support.
• Good analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work extended hours and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of ERP applications (e.g., Oracle, Esker).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
