Brand Communications Manager

About the role

The Brand Communications Manager will shape and protect the Makro Philippines brand across corporate messaging, retail campaigns and digital channels. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will lead brand strategy for store openings, seasonal promotions and crisis communications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain brand guidelines, acting as the brand guardian for all marketing and public‑facing materials.
• Plan and execute integrated campaigns for store openings, seasonal promotions and commercial events across ATL, BTL and digital channels.
• Oversee social media, website and email content calendars, track performance and optimise reach.
• Lead corporate communications including press releases, media statements, executive messaging and crisis response.
• Manage relationships with media outlets, journalists, creative agencies, PR firms and production houses.
• Collaborate with Commercial, B2B Sales, Operations and HR to align marketing efforts with business priorities.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in brand or marketing communications, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Retail, FMCG or wholesale background preferred; experience in start‑up or pre‑opening brand building is a plus.
• Strong storytelling, copywriting and presentation skills in English and Filipino.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Meta Business Suite and Google Analytics.
• Advanced MS Office skills; working knowledge of Canva or Adobe Suite.
