Customs Assistant (UAE)

About the role

The Customs Assistant supports DSV's customs operations in the UAE, ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with all regulations. You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and external authorities to facilitate smooth customs clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily workload, prioritize tasks, and meet KPI targets.
• Follow SOPs for vetting, compiling, and processing customs documentation.
• Communicate with customers and internal parties to obtain missing documents and resolve queries.
• Escalate issues promptly when required.
• Handle pre‑lodge and customs activities, including sending jobs into the system.
• Participate in projects aimed at process improvement.
• Adhere to DSV’s values, health‑safety, and sustainability policies.
• Meet personal performance targets for productivity, timeliness, and accuracy.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed SOPs and work under the direction of team leaders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Good communication skills for email correspondence and customer interaction.
