Customs Assistant – Full‑Time (UAE)

About the role

The Customs Assistant supports DSV’s customs operations in the United Arab Emirates, ensuring that shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with all regulations. Working closely with the team leader and customers, you will manage daily workloads, handle documentation, and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the daily workbench, prioritize jobs, and meet KPI targets.
• Follow SOPs for vetting, compiling, and processing customs administration tasks.
• Communicate with customers and internal parties to obtain missing documents and resolve irregularities.
• Escalate issues when necessary and attend to pre‑lodge/customs queries.
• Participate actively in projects aimed at process optimisation.
• Maintain personal performance metrics such as productivity, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Adhere to DSV’s health, safety, environmental, and sustainability policies.
