Freight Forwarder – Sea Freight Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Freight Forwarder specialized in sea freight to manage end‑to‑end import and export shipments. You will coordinate bookings, handle documentation and ensure smooth communication between carriers, agents and DSV offices.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, coordinate and manage sea‑freight shipments from booking to delivery.
• Arrange bookings with carriers and co‑loaders, liaise with DSV origin/destination offices and agents.
• Prepare and dispatch shipment documents, pre‑alerts and operational updates.
• Open, manage and finalize job files in CW1, ensuring compliance with SOPs and timelines.
• Execute House Bills of Lading, submit electronic manifests to customs or consolidators, and prepare release documents for brokers.
• Verify cost acceptance, support billing, and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Maintain data integrity in CW1, perform weekly file checks and archive documents properly.
• Respond professionally to emails and inquiries from clients, carriers, brokers and internal teams.
• Coordinate customs clearance activities and ensure compliance with customs regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum 4‑year program).
• At least 1 year of operational experience in sea‑freight forwarding, preferably in a multinational logistics company.
• Strong understanding of customer requirements in transportation, warehousing and logistics.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CW1 system.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of local customs regulations and documentation requirements.
