Project Controls Head

About the role

The Project Controls Head leads the development and execution of the project controls framework for power generation projects, ensuring accurate cost, schedule, and performance data for executive decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Establish standardized policies, procedures and reporting structures for cost, schedule and change management.
• Lead, mentor and oversee a multidisciplinary Project Controls team (Officer, Analyst, Document Controller, Accountant, Scheduler).
• Manage the control budget, track committed and actual costs, and develop the Estimate at Completion (EAC) with mitigation strategies.
• Oversee Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation and maintain a resource‑loaded critical‑path schedule.
• Prepare executive‑level reports on financial variances, risks and profitability.
• Control the formal change process and manage project contingency funds.
• Supervise document control, ensure audit readiness and maintain compliance with corporate financial standards.

• Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software
• SAP or similar ERP/Project Management system
• Cost estimating, budgeting and variance analysis
• Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology
• Project financial reporting and accounting principles
• Understanding of EPC and PPA contract terms
