Project Control Systems Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Control Systems Design Engineer to join our Manila engineering team. You will design, develop, and implement advanced control solutions for renewable and hybrid energy projects, ensuring optimal performance and seamless integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop control algorithms and systems for solar, wind, and hybrid power solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate control systems with power electronics, energy storage, and grid interfaces.
• Perform system modeling, simulation, and analysis to validate and optimise control strategies.
• Create and maintain documentation, including specifications, design reports, and test plans.
• Support hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing and field commissioning of control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues throughout development and deployment.
• Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in control systems design, preferably in renewable or hybrid power applications.
• Strong knowledge of control theory, digital signal processing, IP networking, remote access, VLANs and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with power electronics, energy storage systems and grid interconnection standards.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
