Preventive Maintenance Technician – COX Expansion

About the role

The Preventive Maintenance Technician will support the COX Expansion project by performing scheduled maintenance, ensuring equipment reliability, and complying with cleanroom and safety protocols. You will work closely with equipment engineers and production teams to minimize downtime and support ramp‑up activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to approved procedures, equipment manuals and maintenance plans.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance actions, spare‑part usage, downtime and corrective actions while adhering to safety, ESD, cleanroom, quality and 5S standards.
• Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, reduce equipment downtime and implement improvement actions.
• Assist equipment engineers in determining run‑to‑fail parts, part lifetimes and optimal maintenance frequencies.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, calibration verification, qualification and upgrades.
• Provide basic equipment training and technical support to operators, production technicians and new maintenance staff.

Required profile

• Technical vocational graduate (bachelor’s degree preferred) with 3–5 years of equipment maintenance experience in semiconductor or optoelectronics manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, motion‑control, thermal or automated manufacturing systems and ability to work shift schedules, including weekends.

Required skills

• Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, motion‑control and thermal system knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and pneumatic diagrams.
• Proficiency with multimeters, calipers, torque tools, pressure gauges, temperature meters and alignment tools.
• Understanding of equipment reliability concepts such as MTBF, MTTR, downtime analysis and preventive‑maintenance effectiveness.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and meticulous record‑keeping.
