Quality Engineer

About the role

The Quality Engineer will ensure product and process quality throughout the product lifecycle, from new part introduction to warranty returns. This role works closely with engineering, production, suppliers and customers to drive continuous improvement and compliance with ISO9001.

Key responsibilities

• Define and document quality control plans, measurement metrology, and inspection procedures for new and existing products.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for internal non‑conformities, customer complaints, and warranty returns.
• Coordinate with process engineering, production, and other functions to resolve quality issues and implement improvement projects.
• Maintain and update product/process quality documentation and ensure effective implementation on the shop floor.
• Manage supplier quality, including qualification, performance monitoring, and IQC coaching.
• Support ISO9001 implementation, audit follow‑up, and QMS compliance reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 1‑2 years of experience as a Product/Process Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and drive problem‑solving initiatives.

Required skills

• ISO9001 quality management system knowledge.
• Statistical process control and data analysis.
• Optical metrology and operation of measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with IR optic production processes.
• Use of standard quality tools (e.g., FMEA, 8D, SPC).
