Product Engineer

About the role

The Product Engineer will act as the bridge between design engineering and manufacturing operations for Advanced Energy's power supply units (PSUs). Reporting to the Product Engineering Manager, you will ensure that PSU products meet performance, quality, and delivery standards from prototype through full‑scale production.

Key responsibilities

• Characterize and validate PSU performance across a range of operating conditions.
• Perform calibration activities and support test engineering in developing optimized test procedures.
• Troubleshoot field and factory issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and document findings.
• Collaborate with design engineers to implement circuit modifications, select alternative components, and improve reliability.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, sales teams and external customers.
• Execute hardware testing, signal characterization, power modeling, and system coexistence testing for design changes.
• Write detailed test reports and analyze failure data to identify trends.
• Develop mitigation plans and manage change requests related to PSU designs.
• Research and evaluate alternative components to replace obsolete or problematic parts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in power‑supply product development, testing, or manufacturing support.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to perform root‑cause investigations.
