Operator I

About the role

We are looking for an Operator I to join the production team at Microchip Technology Inc. The role involves operating assigned machines, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform 6S activities before and after each shift.
• Follow operational specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the assigned area.
• Hand over line status to incoming shifts and maintain accurate line documentation.
• Monitor product quality, aiming for zero lot rejection and promptly report any issues.
• Maintain machine certification badges and ensure proper set‑up, isolation, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Record machine downtime, lot history, and any splitting or merging transactions in real time.
• Escalate problems to the supervisor or lead operator and participate in suggestion programs.
• Adhere to all company rules, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
