Junior Java Software Engineer – Fresh Graduate

About the role

DXC Technology is seeking fresh graduates to join its team as Junior Java Software Engineers. You will help design, develop, and support enterprise‑grade applications that power critical insurance and financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Java applications and backend services.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and testable Java code following coding standards.
• Develop and execute unit tests and support automated testing initiatives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design sessions.
• Support system integrations, API development, and enhancements across enterprise applications.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives such as application optimization and modernization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundation in Java development and object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Exposure to Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, Agile development environment.
