Application Security Specialist

About the role

The Application Security Specialist leads Home Credit Philippines' vulnerability management and penetration testing program. You will design ethical attacks on the company’s IT infrastructure, work with business units to remediate findings, and keep the organization protected against emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Perform application security assessments on mobile (Android, iOS) and web applications, APIs, and other internally or externally developed systems.
• Conduct periodic penetration tests on network, infrastructure, cloud resources, and produce detailed assessment reports for product owners.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business owners to recommend security controls, design secure systems, and track risk‑reduction activities.
• Manage vulnerability scans, policy compliance checks, web‑application scans, and source‑code reviews, including regular reporting.
• Assist with IT security assessments, compliance checks, and set up automated security scans.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in application security testing.
• Hands‑on experience with web and mobile application penetration testing.
• Solid understanding of application security frameworks and testing methodologies.
• Practical skills using penetration testing tools such as BurpSuite or Kali.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management tools.
