Google Workspace Administrator

About the role

The Google Workspace Administrator is responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing the enterprise Google cloud collaboration environment. This position ensures smooth user lifecycle management, enforces security policies, and provides operational documentation for a production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Automate onboarding and off‑boarding processes, provision accounts, and maintain organizational units and groups.
• Integrate Workspace with identity providers (Okta, Azure AD) and manage SSO and MFA configurations.
• Enforce data loss prevention rules, manage Google Vault retention policies, and configure DNS email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Administer core services (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Meet, Chat) and oversee shared drive architecture and third‑party app access.
• Develop and run bulk operations using GAM or Python scripts, manage MDM for iOS, Android, and ChromeOS devices, and perform remote wipes.
• Investigate security alerts with the Security Investigation Tool and analyze audit logs via BigQuery.
• Maintain runbooks and end‑user documentation for new Google features.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience administering Google Workspace, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing environments.
