Engineering Technician – Maintenance & Troubleshooting

About the role

The Engineering Technician will ensure the reliable operation of critical plant equipment in a food manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining a variety of systems to support continuous production.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot and repair refrigeration, compressed‑air, power and steam systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, including condition monitoring and data‑driven benchmarking.
• Gather equipment specifications and maintain accurate preventive‑maintenance programs and equipment histories.
• Execute corrective maintenance, technical failure analysis, mechanical installations and load testing while complying with SOPs and safety standards.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to maximise production line efficiency.
• Maintain a safe work environment, protecting personnel, equipment and materials to prevent lost‑time accidents.

Required profile

• Graduate of any engineering discipline, preferably Industrial Technology.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry.
• At least 2 years experience in operations, troubleshooting and maintenance on two or more of the following: conveyor systems, steam boilers, compressed‑air systems, wastewater/water treatment, preventive maintenance, control engineering or PLC.
• Hands‑on ability to perform mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
• Physical ability to lift at least 20 kg.
• Strong communication skills, high stress tolerance, and willingness to work in Canlubang, Laguna.
