About the role

The Branch Business Manager is responsible for the overall profitability of the assigned branch, driving market potential, and implementing strategies to meet targets. This role offers valuable corporate experience within a competitive banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Area Head in assessing market potential and formulating strategies to achieve branch targets.
• Maintain a proactive stance on competition and market conditions, addressing threats and leveraging opportunities.
• Grow the branch’s business, optimize income, and control expenditures to ensure a healthy bottom line.
• Collaborate with partner units for successful cross‑selling initiatives.
• Monitor performance versus targets using MIS reports and take corrective actions.
• Develop the sales force through coaching, mentoring, and performance monitoring.
• Identify and endorse credit accommodations while adhering to bank guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience in the banking industry.
• Excellent selling and negotiation skills, preferably with an active client portfolio in the assigned location.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, leadership, and supervisory abilities.
• Proactive mindset seeking new ways to improve efficiency and productivity.
