Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will provide effective and timely financial management and reporting for projects, supporting project teams with budgeting, performance analysis and commercial risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Support project teams with financial budgeting and planning activities.
• Review, analyse and report month‑end project performance data.
• Assist in creating new projects, ensuring policy compliance and risk escalation.
• Provide financial analysis including cost allocation, earned value and scenario analysis.
• Manage invoice preparation and lock‑up processes within contract timelines.
• Deliver commercial guidance to reduce exposure to risk throughout project lifecycles.
• Support major projects, joint ventures and alliances with cost monitoring, invoicing and cash‑flow management.
• Facilitate training on financial systems and tools for team members.
• Provide commercial advice and initiate reviews to improve business performance.
• Act as business partner for I+E business, offering strategic and operational finance guidance.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of project finance, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Ability to interact and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in providing commercial advice and risk mitigation.
• Proven capability to support major projects and joint ventures financially.
