Reinsurance Treaty Technical Accounts Specialist

About the role

Guy Carpenter, the world’s premier reinsurance intermediary, is establishing a new business division within Marsh Philippines in Manila. The Reinsurance Treaty Technical Accounts Specialist will manage technical treaty matters from placement through accounting and settlement, ensuring accurate interpretation of treaty wordings, limits, coverages, and exclusions.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical treaty matters, validating treaty terms, endorsements, and contract documentation, and entering data into core systems for premium invoicing and accounting.
• Review and process technical statements of account, claims advices, and billings in line with team procedures and professional standards.
• Manage claims administration according to treaty wording, assess coverage, apply limits/exclusions, and prepare supporting documentation for payments.
• Monitor outstanding loss reserves for inward and outward treaties, escalating technical issues as needed.
• Provide timely, clear responses to queries from clients, reinsurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders, and produce regular regulatory and internal reports.

Required profile

• Prior experience processing treaty technical accounts and/or claims in a reinsurance broking or reinsurance company environment.
• Solid understanding of treaty reinsurance concepts, contract wordings, and claims management.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail when working with financial data and reconciliations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical issues to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Experience using data‑entry and accounting systems.
