Reinsurance Actuary

About the role

Join Marsh Re's Global Analytics and Advisory team in Manila as a Reinsurance Actuary. This hybrid role supports rapid growth across the Philippines and the region, combining actuarial expertise with reinsurance strategy and client‑facing problem solving.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner to brokers and clients, delivering high‑value actuarial support and developing broking‑aligned reinsurance strategies.
• Build and apply complex models to assess risk, price products, and design optimized reinsurance structures that address earnings volatility and capital objectives.
• Leverage AI and modern analytics platforms (e.g., Databricks, Python) to improve speed, consistency, and scalability of analyses.
• Mentor and train junior colleagues while supporting revenue generation through analytics‑driven solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in non‑life (re)insurance, including property & casualty, pricing, capital or catastrophe modeling.
• Qualified or near‑qualified actuary (FCAS, FIA or FIAA) with a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Math, Statistics or related field.
• Excellent communication, presentation and project‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Alteryx, R, VBA, SQL.
• Experience with modern analytics platforms such as Databricks.
