Loan Processing Associate

About the role

The Loan Processing Associate is responsible for reviewing and processing employee loan applications accurately, timely, and in compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. This role works closely with HR, payroll, and other internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth loan experience for employees.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate employee loan applications for salary, car, housing, medical, emergency, and other company‑sponsored loans.
• Verify supporting documents, endorsements, and approvals required for loan processing.
• Encode and update loan information in HR and payroll‑related systems.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, clarifications, and escalations.
• Monitor loan turnaround times and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for all loan transactions.
• Prepare operational and management reports on loan volume, turnaround time, approval rates, and exceptions.
• Analyze loan data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Support process improvements, testing, documentation, and automation initiatives.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding loan status, requirements, and policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of employee loan programs, eligibility rules, and basic financial concepts.
• Experience in operations, benefits administration, loan processing, or a similar transactional role is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to generate reports and interpret data.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
