HR Officer – Labor Relations

About the role

The HR Officer (Labor Relations) will support Austal’s employee relations function by managing labor and legal cases. You will act as a liaison between internal teams, external lawyers, and government agencies to ensure timely and accurate filing of complaints and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and filing complaints, submissions, and other legal documents.
• Support internal and external lawyers by gathering required information and documents.
• Coordinate with DOLE, NLRC, DMW, and other government offices for filing and updates.
• Serve as the point of contact for administrative requirements and document submissions.
• Liaise with PHIC, Pag-IBIG, SSS, and other agencies to process employee documents, claims, and benefits.
• Communicate updates to relevant stakeholders within the company.
• Attend ISO and compliance meetings as required.

Required profile

• Graduate of Psychology, Human Resources or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in employee relations, labor relations, or legal support, preferably with exposure to DOLE, NLRC, civil cases, and employee benefits processing.
• Strong business acumen.
• Prior experience coordinating with lawyers and government offices is highly desirable.
