Cyber Security Operations Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Operations Specialist to join our team in Cagayan de Oro. You will monitor security tools, investigate alerts, and respond to incidents for international clients, ensuring real‑time protection and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM, EDR and other security platforms for alerts and suspicious activity.
• Analyze and investigate incidents to determine scope, impact and root cause.
• Execute containment, remediation and validation actions, and close alerts with documented evidence.
• Escalate complex or critical issues to senior team members.
• Maintain detailed investigation records and suggest improvements to monitoring processes.
• Provide clear, concise updates to clients during and after incidents, explaining risks and recommendations in non‑technical terms.
• Collaborate with teammates, participate in handovers, incident reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in security operations, SOC or incident response.
• Strong understanding of common cyber threats and attack methods.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical issues to non‑technical audiences.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
