Cloud and Systems Officer – IT Infrastructure & Cloud Management

About the role

The Cloud and Systems Officer will lead the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure and cloud environment for a leading telecommunications provider in Manila. Reporting to the BGC office, you will ensure high availability, security and performance of systems, networks and cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the Managed Service Provider (MSP) performance against SLAs and KPIs, conducting regular vendor reviews and driving continuous improvement.
• Design, implement and validate backup strategies, perform recovery testing, and manage cloud storage utilization and cost optimization.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive), manage user accounts, permissions and licensing, and oversee cloud infrastructure provisioning and scaling.
• Generate regular reports on system health, performance and incidents; communicate technical updates and risks to stakeholders in business terms.
• Approve and oversee system and cloud policy changes, maintaining accurate inventories and configuration records.
• Assess server and network infrastructure, propose upgrades, configure network equipment, apply security patches and firmware updates, and resolve incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing cloud environments and IT infrastructure within a corporate or telecom setting.
• Strong understanding of MSP governance, SLA/KPI management and vendor coordination.
• Hands‑on experience with backup, disaster recovery and cloud cost optimization.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical information for business stakeholders.
