Senior Project Manager – Electromechanical (Hydropower)

About the role

The company is seeking a senior technical leader to manage the full lifecycle of electro‑mechanical and instrumentation works for a large‑scale hydropower facility. This role will coordinate mechanical, electrical, automation and control systems to ensure reliable power generation and water conveyance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the complete scope of E/M/I works from engineering design through commissioning.
• Supervise installation of hydro‑mechanical equipment such as turbines, valves, gates, pumps, penstocks and balance‑of‑plant items.
• Oversee electrical systems including generators, transformers, switchgear, protection relays, SCADA and substation interfaces.
• Manage instrumentation, automation and control system integration.
• Coordinate with OEMs, suppliers, consultants and contractors on technical and delivery matters.
• Monitor construction progress, control budgets, manage risks and ensure milestone delivery.
• Lead factory and site acceptance tests, inspections and commissioning activities.
• Prepare technical reports and updates for senior management.
• Mentor and supervise a multidisciplinary team of E/M/I engineers and site personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Electro‑Mechanical Engineering.
• 15–20 years of experience delivering E/M/I projects in hydropower or pumped‑storage environments.
• Proven ability to work 100% onsite and manage multidisciplinary site teams.
• Familiarity with international and local engineering standards and EPC/turnkey project delivery.
