Senior Electrical Engineer, HV Transmission Lines

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with specialist expertise in primary high‑voltage (HV) design to lead the engineering of extra‑high‑voltage transmission line projects (≥132 kV). Based in Manila, you will work with a global team of offshore designers to deliver complex transmission solutions for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of HV transmission line projects from concept through detailed design and execution.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including design calculations, specifications and reports.
• Ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand electrical codes and industry standards.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with offshore engineering teams, managing time‑zone and cultural differences.
• Maintain communication with clients, stakeholders and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, focused on transmission line design.
• Proven experience designing transmission lines rated above 132 kV.
• Experience working with offshore design teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Australian and New Zealand electrical codes is highly advantageous.
