Senior/Lead Engineer, Power Transmission and Distribution

About the role

Join Aurecon's Energy business as a Senior/Lead Engineer supporting the Power Transmission and Distribution SAVI team in Manila. You will lead smaller transmission and distribution projects from concept through detailed design and construction support, working alongside highly skilled specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and independently manage small‑scale power transmission and distribution projects as an Individual Contributor.
• Perform hands‑on structural design of transmission towers and poles using the PLS software suite (PLS Tower, PLS Pole, PLS CAD).
• Utilise SpaceGass for structural analysis where applicable.
• Provide engineering design support during construction, resolve field issues and ensure design compliance on‑site.
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation, calculations, reports and construction support materials.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate structural designs with electrical and other disciplines.
• Maintain technical accuracy of deliverables with minimal oversight and support continuous improvement of design processes.
• Participate in technical reviews and mentor junior engineers on software use and best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in structural design of power transmission infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and manage project phases from concept to construction support.
• Strong communication skills for coordination with project stakeholders and internal teams.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvement.
