Public Affairs Manager

About the role

McDonald’s Philippines is seeking a Public Affairs Manager to lead its government relations and policy initiatives across the country. The role will act as the primary liaison between the company and government entities, shaping advocacy strategies and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with legislators, government decision‑makers and local government officials.
• Develop and execute public affairs and government relations strategies, influencing policy through partnerships and advocacy.
• Serve as the main spokesperson and liaison with government bodies, aligning regulatory matters with business objectives.
• Oversee compliance with government procedures and regulatory requirements across restaurant operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to reinforce McDonald’s brand positioning with government partners and contribute to policy‑related company guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in public affairs, government relations or legislative affairs.
• Strong exposure to legislative processes, preferably with experience in Congress or government institutions.
• Legal background preferred, with solid experience in legal, regulatory and government processes.
• Excellent writing and communication abilities, especially in legal or policy contexts.
• Willingness to travel nationwide as required.
