About the role
We are seeking a highly organized Mental Health Virtual Assistant to support a busy private practice. The role focuses on phone management, patient onboarding, billing assistance, and general administrative coordination, helping the provider deliver timely care while reducing paperwork.
Key responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls via Google Voice, capture new‑patient information, and provide friendly, professional phone support.
- Assist with patient onboarding before the first appointment, including data entry in Simple Practice.
- Support billing and accounts‑receivable tasks: follow up on back‑billing, review denied claims, and help with collection efforts.
- Upload scanned documents, forms, and fax files into the system and maintain organized patient records.
- Manage appointment scheduling, recall calls, and coordinate communications through WhatsApp, Google Meet, phone, and email.
Required profile
- Previous experience in healthcare or clinical administration, preferably in mental‑health settings.
- Familiarity with medical billing, insurance verification, or AR collections.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask during work hours (9 AM‑2 PM EDT, Mon‑Thu).
