Associate Lawyer

About the role

Gruba Guzman Law is seeking an Associate Lawyer to join its legal team. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support to clients and assisting senior partners in a variety of matters.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth legal research and deliver well‑reasoned analysis on complex issues.
• Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence.
• Examine contracts and other legal instruments, identify risks, and recommend revisions or safeguards.
• Assist in case strategy development, including evidence gathering and litigation preparation.
• Perform legal due diligence for corporate transactions, agreements, and compliance matters.
• Engage with clients to assess concerns, explain legal options, and recommend appropriate courses of action.
• Represent clients in meetings, hearings, and other proceedings as delegated by the Senior Partner.
• Support the Senior Partner in handling cases, client management, and court appearances when required.
• Appear in hearings, assist in trial preparation, and support court proceedings as needed.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and key developments.
• Provide practical legal advice across a range of matters while upholding strict confidentiality and ethical standards.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Strong written communication skills for drafting and reviewing legal documents.
• Capability to assess contractual risks and propose appropriate safeguards.
• Experience in supporting litigation strategy and case preparation.
• Competence in client interaction and clear explanation of legal options.
