Tax Finance Manager – Finance Support

About the role

HSBC is seeking an experienced Tax Finance Manager to support its Finance function. The role works closely with the Head of Finance to identify tax risks, ensure compliance, and provide tax advice across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, document, and mitigate tax risks and controls in line with Group policy.
• Prepare, review and file tax computations, returns and reports, ensuring timely payment of liabilities.
• Maintain audit trails and tax working papers to avoid penalties.
• Respond to tax queries, research tax implications of new products, contracts and legislation.
• Liaise with auditors, tax counsel and examiners, providing required information and reports.
• Communicate regularly with the HBAP Manila Head of Tax on all tax matters.
• Support implementation of Group compliance policies and internal control standards, including SOX requirements for Service Centers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant with at least 3 years of direct tax handling experience.
• Experience with BIR, PEZA, BOI, SEC and local government tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication with finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of BIR tax examinations.
• Understanding of PEZA incentive programs and requirements.
