Chief Accountant

About the role

As the Chief Accountant you will support the Director of Finance & Business Support in overseeing the hotel’s accounting operations, ensuring that financial transactions and reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with established policies and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure accurate, timely recording of financial transactions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Review general ledger accounts, accounts payable/receivable, payroll‑related accounting and ensure proper internal controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audit documentation and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field; CPA qualification preferred.
• 4–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
• Previous supervisory experience in an accounting or finance function is preferred.
• Strong analytical, numerical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with hotel accounting or financial systems.
