Software Engineer – Market Abuse Surveillance

About the role

TP ICAP Group is seeking a Software Engineer to support its Market Abuse Surveillance platform. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and regulatory compliance of data pipelines that feed both in‑house and third‑party surveillance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain models in the internal Market Abuse Surveillance system.
• Collaborate with vendor teams to align third‑party models with TP ICAP requirements.
• Re‑engineer data‑mapping layers and write unit, integration, and infrastructure tests.
• Partner with Data Engineers to create robust data pipelines and workflows.
• Ensure all solutions meet regulatory, legal, and security standards.
• Translate business rules from surveillance analysts and compliance officers into technical specifications.
• Work with Cloud Infrastructure to optimise performance and cost.

Required profile

• Strong background in building and maintaining data pipelines for financial market data.
• Experience working with regulatory or compliance‑focused systems.
• Ability to collaborate across vendor, engineering, and compliance teams.
