Operational Excellence & AI Data Engineer

About the role

Lead and support the development of analytics, automation, and AI‑enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency across Asia Pacific. As a senior individual contributor, you will shape solution design, establish standards, and deliver scalable tools from concept through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for analytics‑driven tools, automations, and data solutions aligned with business goals.
• Build scalable models, dashboards, workflows, and applications using SQL, Python, and visualization platforms.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of analytical solutions, from data sourcing to deployment and adoption.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve process quality, and enhance decision‑making through AI and automation.
• Design and implement automation tools such as scripted pipelines, Excel add‑ins, and desktop applications.
• Manage mid‑ to large‑scale projects, coordinating delivery and ensuring sustainable solutions.
• Coach junior team members and promote strong analytical and engineering practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant experience in data engineering, analytics, business intelligence or automation.
• Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and build new capabilities from the ground up.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect technical solutions to business outcomes.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
• Strong Python programming skills for analytics and production‑oriented development.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools.
• Experience developing C#/.NET applications, including desktop apps and Excel add‑ins.
• Practical experience applying AI, machine learning or generative AI in business settings.
