Software Engineer L2 (React Native)

About the role

As a Level 2 Software Engineer at Ideagen, you will help build and modernise high‑quality mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript. You will work across UI, APIs, and native device features, collaborating within an Agile team to enhance the Beakon EHS mobile app.

Key responsibilities

• Build new features and modernise the Beakon EHS mobile app with React Native and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with Development Managers, Team Leaders, and fellow engineers to deliver well‑designed solutions.
• Work closely with Product, Design, QA, and Infrastructure teams to ensure high‑quality releases.
• Support the full software development lifecycle aligned with product road‑maps and release cycles.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• Diagnose and fix bugs to improve stability and performance.
• Write unit tests and documentation for your code.
• Contribute ideas to improve team practices and technology choices.
• Work independently on assigned tasks while receiving support as needed.

Required profile

• Approximately 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Hands‑on experience building cross‑platform mobile apps with React Native and TypeScript.
• Comfortable delivering features in a production/enterprise environment.
• Experience using Git or similar version‑control tools.
• Basic understanding of UX and design principles.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working, preferably Scrum.
