MSP Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

The Senior Systems Administrator will ensure client IT environments follow industry best practices, reduce risk, and support long‑term technology planning. Acting as a technical liaison between internal and client‑facing teams, the role provides recommendations, maintains documentation, and drives standardization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical knowledge of managed client environments, including hardware, software, cloud services, and security posture.
• Lead proactive services and complete technology alignment reports for clients.
• Identify technical risks, resolve issues, and submit recommendations to the vCIO.
• Monitor centralized service tools, review reactive tickets, and suggest upgrades to reduce support time.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create and update technical standards.
• Participate in client onboarding, ensuring documentation and alignment summaries are ready within the first 30 days.
• Stay current with new technologies, pursue certifications, and support MRR growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of system administration or Tier 3 technical support experience.
• Strong understanding of MSP operations and IT alignment frameworks.
• Ability to relate IT infrastructure and security components to business objectives.
• Autonomous, creative, enthusiastic, and motivated in a fast‑paced environment.
