Software Engineer

About the role

Join NCS, a leading technology services firm in APAC, as a Software Engineer. You will work on large‑scale, mission‑critical projects, helping to transform raw data into actionable insights and delivering innovative solutions for our payment services ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large volumes of raw information to identify patterns that improve business outcomes.
• Participate in backlog refinement and sprint planning, providing technical insight and managing workload.
• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality code using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, and Python.
• Conduct Innovation Sprints to explore new technologies and enhance technical skills.
• Collaborate with program and project managers to define timelines and deliverables.
• Maintain the payment services platform by identifying, troubleshooting, and fixing bugs.

Required profile

• Strong decision‑making based on data and a focus on code quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Ability to communicate design trade‑offs clearly to business stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments with regular sprint cycles.

Required skills

• Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React.js, Python
• Kubernetes (including RHOCP)
• Experience with Pub/Sub, message queues, databases, and APIs
• API design and UI/UX development
• Cloud platforms: AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Serverless architectures
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools: Terraform, Ansible
• Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana
