Senior Tax Accountant – Australian Taxation

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant with expertise in Australian tax compliance to join our Makati office. You will lead the preparation of bookkeeping, accounting, and tax deliverables for a diverse client base while working within a flexible arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and compile comprehensive workpaper sets for complex engagements, including data extraction from the Tax Agent Portal.
• Independently lodge Individual Tax Returns, Partnership returns, and Business Activity Statements with high technical accuracy.
• Prepare foundational financial statements and tax returns for trusts, companies, and other entities.
• Research complex tax topics, draft technical notes, and provide subject‑matter insights.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, clarify queries, and maintain professional relationships.
• Maintain compliance with ATO requirements and internal quality controls.
• Support peak periods by taking ownership of workloads and handling ad‑hoc compliance tasks.

Required profile

• CPA or non‑CPA with at least 3 years of audit and tax experience in a reputable professional services firm.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and lead client engagements.
