Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee ACCIONA Energía's accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury, investment monitoring, tax compliance and internal controls in the Philippines. The role ensures accurate financial records, timely month‑end and year‑end closings, and compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities, review journal entries and ensure GL accuracy.
• Manage daily cash position, liquidity, cash‑flow forecasts and banking relationships.
• Monitor and account for investment portfolios, prepare related reports and ensure proper PFRS/IFRS disclosure.
• Oversee Philippine tax compliance, prepare returns and support BIR audits.
• Act as a key SAP FI/Treasury user, support system enhancements and train junior staff.

Required profile

• CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 5‑8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine corporate accounting, treasury and tax regulations.
• Experience with multinational or large Philippine corporations is a plus.

Required skills

• SAP ERP (FI, Treasury, GL) proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS).
• Financial reporting under PFRS/IFRS.
• Cash‑flow forecasting and liquidity management.
• Investment accounting and digital banking platform experience.
