Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake

About the role
PwC Managed Services is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead Snowflake‑based initiatives within its enterprise data and analytics platforms. You will work closely with clients, deepen your technical expertise, and begin to mentor junior team members while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement Snowflake ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Build ingestion frameworks using Snowpipe, Streams, and Tasks.
- Perform Snowflake performance tuning, clustering, and warehouse optimization.
- Manage secure data sharing, database objects, and access governance.
- Integrate Snowflake with orchestration tools and cloud services.
- Support production monitoring, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute reusable assets and best practices.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent oral and written English.
Required skills
- Strong Snowflake SQL expertise.
- Hands‑on experience with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and performance tuning.
- Advanced SQL, Python, and data‑modeling skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as DBT, Fivetran, Informatica, or Azure Data Factory.
