Technical Specialist

About the role

Amex GBT is seeking a Technical Specialist to support its ticketing system platform that enables global business travelers to book flights, trains, and other travel options. You will be responsible for system imaging, hardware and software issue resolution, and managing assets and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and update the ticketing system within established SLAs, prioritizing critical tickets and assessing business impact.
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support, including installation, configuration, and problem resolution for Windows, Apple/Mac, and network environments.
• Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures and determine cost‑effective repair solutions.
• Maintain a sophisticated understanding of IT hardware repair and OS management at all levels.
• Identify process improvements for customer support and coordinate repair activities with third‑party vendors.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in an enterprise desktop support environment handling software and hardware issues.
• Degree in Computer Science or technical school preferred.
• Professional writing and documentation skills with strong verbal communication.
• Passionate about details and able to follow written processes and procedures.
