Senior AWS Integration Consultant / Manager

About the role

The AWS Integration Consultant / Architect designs, delivers, and governs enterprise‑grade integration solutions on Amazon Web Services. Depending on seniority, the role focuses on hands‑on delivery or strategic architecture, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient connections between cloud‑native, hybrid, and SaaS systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations using AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, and Step Functions.
• Translate business and technical requirements into API‑based, event‑driven, and message‑based integration patterns.
• Define integration architecture, reusable components, and reference designs aligned with security, networking, IAM, and governance standards.
• Establish error handling, retries, dead‑letter queues, logging, tracing, and alerting using AWS monitoring tools.
• Support testing, deployment, cut‑over, and post‑go‑live stabilisation, and create operational documentation and runbooks.
• Collaborate with business, application, data, and cloud platform teams and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• 10‑14+ years overall IT experience for architect track or 6‑8 years for consultant track.
• 7‑10+ years (architect) or 4‑6 years (consultant) of hands‑on AWS integration and solution architecture experience.
• Proven ability to define enterprise integration strategies and cloud standards.
• Strong systems‑thinking mindset and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Required skills

• AWS Integration services: API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, Step Functions.
• REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, workflow orchestration.
• Data transformation and integration design patterns.
• AWS IAM, security, networking, and cloud governance.
