Senior Accountant – Procure to Pay (PTP)

About the role

The Senior Accountant – PTP will lead the end‑to‑end Procure‑to‑Pay cycle, ensuring accurate journal entries, reconciliations and timely reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to maintain financial integrity and support audit requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve journals and transaction entries prepared by accountants and junior staff.
• Validate reconciliations of balance‑sheet accounts such as vendor balances and ensure completeness.
• Perform analytical reviews of key accounts and transactions.
• Prepare management reports and respond to auditor requests promptly.
• Collaborate with the team to analyse root causes of complex issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing accounting processes and propose improvements for efficiency.
• Assist team leads in onboarding new tasks and act as Officer‑in‑Charge when the lead is absent.
• Communicate with stakeholders on invoices, expense claims and payments, ensuring supporting documents are valid and complete.
• Drive process‑improvement projects related to control, standardisation and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 3 years using SAP.
• Experience in Finance Shared Services or BPO environments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and the P2P process.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑management skills in a multicultural setting.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle ambiguity and maintain professionalism.
