Accountant – Finance Shared Services

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Finance Shared Services team in Mandaluyong City. You will ensure accurate processing of transactions, maintain vendor accounts, and support audit activities while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process, review and validate transactions in the system, ensuring compliance with controls and accounting policies.
• Investigate and resolve transactional issues in coordination with supervisors and colleagues.
• Prepare journal entries for adjustments or corrections and advise senior accountants on reconciliation issues.
• Perform complex account reconciliations, review junior staff work, and create/maintain vendor accounts.
• Support audit requests by providing required documentation and records.
• Execute preliminary checks and data entry for payment runs, and review junior staff entries.
• Communicate with stakeholders on invoices and expense claims, verifying supporting documents.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement initiatives and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in finance shared services, BPO, or similar environments.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or MBA are an advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and ability to explain journal entries.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP MM/FI module.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel).
