Security Engineer

About the role

Azeus is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen both Blue‑Team and Red‑Team capabilities across its global IT projects. You will work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and automate vulnerability detection workflows in the SDLC.
• Review risks, manage patches, and facilitate threat‑modeling for applications.
• Conduct penetration testing of web and mobile (iOS, Android, Windows, macOS) applications.
• Own the vulnerability management lifecycle from identification to remediation and reporting.
• Monitor operational security risks and investigate security incidents.
• Support security awareness training and assist with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance.
• Liaise with users on security enquiries during pre‑sales and support phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity.
• Strong understanding of OWASP Top 10, SANS Critical Security Controls, and security standards.
• Analytical mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

Required skills

• Application security tools: Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, SonarQube (plus Ghidra or IDA).
• Programming languages: Java, JavaScript, C, C++.
• Scripting: Bash, PowerShell.
• Cloud platforms: AWS.
• SIEM technologies.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
