QA/QC Engineer – Construction Quality Management

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer ensures that all structural construction activities meet approved plans, specifications, contract requirements, applicable codes, and quality standards. This role oversees inspection, testing, documentation, and quality control processes to guarantee safe and accurate project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Management Plan.
• Review and monitor quality procedures, inspection plans, and method statements.
• Conduct quality audits, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Perform inspections of structural works such as excavation, formworks, rebar installation, concrete pouring, steel erection, and assemblies.
• Verify material compliance, monitor concrete sampling and laboratory tests, and ensure adherence to Inspection and Test Plans (ITP).
• Prepare and submit Requests for Inspection (RFI), issue Non‑Conformance Reports (NCR), and track corrective actions.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test results, and material certifications; prepare regular quality reports.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and foremen; conduct toolbox meetings and provide technical guidance on quality standards.

Required profile

• Experience in QA/QC for structural construction projects.
• Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and contract specifications.
• Ability to conduct audits, manage documentation, and communicate quality requirements.
