Purchasing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Purchasing Specialist to manage sourcing, vendor relations, and import‑export activities for our construction projects. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering specifications and the ability to coordinate logistics efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Source materials and services, negotiate terms, and maintain vendor relationships.
• Facilitate item pick‑up, handle filing, administrative tasks, and document management.
• Manage import‑export (IMPEX) processes, working with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Interpret specifications for steel, aggregate, structural, civil, architectural, plumbing, and electrical works.
• Leverage a network of general and specialized contractors to support project needs.
• Utilize digital tools (Google Drive, Sheets, Calendar, Excel, WhatsApp) for tracking and communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related business discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in engineering or construction.
• Proven experience with IMPEX and a network of freight forwarders/customs brokers.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable attendance record.
• Demonstrated integrity, strong work ethic, and cost‑conscious negotiation skills.
